Naturalistic visit of Oasis of Zegna

The Oasis of Zegna values a protected mountainous area that covers approximately 100 km2 in the Biella’s Alps, between Trivero and Deer Valley. It is crossed by the Panoramic road of Zegna, that the businessman Ermenegildo Zegna, deeply linked to his land, created to bring economic development to the mountain and to its people. He was devoted to his work but also sensitive to the beauty of nature, and in Trivero, his native country, (today the door of Zegna’s Oasis) in 1910 he first built the, still operating homonym wool mill. Starting from the 30s, he realized in the surrounding areas a massive program of reforestation of the of the mountains with half a million conifers and many hundreds of rhododendrons and hydrangeas, creating in this way a wonderful alpine landscape.
