We will take you to discover the beautiful city of Syracuse, located in the southern part of the island, through one of the most beautiful stretches of coast of Sicily. Syracuse is built on an ancient greek settlement; the city was founded by the Corinthians in 734 BC. The tour begins with a visit of the archaeological area of Neapolis: the greek theater, the Roman amphitheater and the Latomia of Paradise, the ear of Dionysius and the "Altar of Hyeron". After a short drive we reach Ortigia, the true heart of the city, we will walk through the picturesque streets of the old town and admire Piazza Duomo and the Cathedral, built on the ruins of an ancient greek temple, the famous fountain Arethusa, with its plants papyrus, overlooking the Ionian sea turquoise.
