Naturalistic excursion in Punta Corrasi

Monte Corrasi with its 1457 m dominates the town of Oliena and the whole Supramonte.
Thanks to its dramatic landscapes, in 1956 the area was chosen for the shooting of some of the scenes of the film “The Ten Commandments”. According to philologist G. Paulis, the name derives from the Latin word “cornu” with the addition of the suffix -arius and indicates the uneven profile of the mountain (just like a series of horns), especially when seen from Oliena.
